I bought this Dacke stainless steel shelf from Ikea (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40126205) to go in a corner of our kitchen and I'm having trouble deciding if I like it. Does it make the kitchen look too crowded and cluttered? I don't want it to give the impression that we don't have enough space to store things elsewhere. I'm not opposed to returning the shelf to Ikea since I have 90 days to return it. It was super easy to put together so it wouldn't be hard to take apart.
We thought it would be a great spot for cookbooks and easy access to onions.
So this is where I need your help! Please vote and let me know if you think the new shelf is a complement to the rest of the kitchen or if it's clutter.
Here's a reminder of what the opposite side of this room looks like.

I think it looks good. I think perhaps adding a bigger basket for the onions and trying to put a could of other items in that are of the natural wood color would help.
Btw is a TV in the corner? Do you mind sharing what brand and where you purchased it. Thanks

The brand of the TV in the kitchen is Element and I bought it a couple years ago from Circuit City.
